Background

The 3 Counties Church was originally a traditionally evangelical church, founded and originally pastored by Tom Carter some 40 years ago. Jonathan Carter, Tom's son, took over the leadership 25 years ago and led the church into a time of charismatic renewal.

In November 2000, Jonathan was set free from direct pastoral responsibilities to minister within the town of Haslemere and in the wider area, as well as continuing within the 3Counties church. Dick Durrant took over the overall leadership.

It has been organised on a congregational basis for many years and, until January 2001, had 3 congregations, totalling approximately 250 members.
