Local Churches joining together to Serve the Community
In July 2010, the Wave returned to Haslemere for the third year running. Teams of Liquid Youth and adults went out to serve the local community in ways such as gardening, painting, car washing, running the cafe on Lion Green, visiting the elderly and playing games up on Hill Lane. The highlight for many people was the family fun afternoon on Lion Green, when many families turned up to have lots of fun - bouncy castle, face painting, cafe and many games.
The Wave continues throughout the year with small teams going out every other Saturday morning to serve members of the community by doing their gardening, painting and other odd jobs around the home for those that may not be able to afford it or do it themselves.
